Bottle. Color: Very dark brown, going towards black. Creamy light brown head. Aroma: Dark malt, caramel, raisins, subtle herbal notes. Taste: Smooth, creamy body. Dark malt, caramel, juniper, herbal notes. Hints of chocolate. Alcohol is well hidden. Hoppy backbone. A bit thin body. Medium body, below average carbonation. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness.

Bottle. Color: Almost black, brown head. Aroma: Chocolate-caramel fudge, Port notes, some coffee. Taste: Malty, some roasted malt, dark malt and caramel malt, coffee and dark chocolate notes, subtle fruity Port notes. Just over medium body, below average carbonation. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness.

Nose is smoked malts, charr, roasted tones, cocoa powder, mellow barrel.
Taste comprises good bourbon characteristics, spice, charr, molasses, balanced smoke.
Full bodied, light prickly carbonation but aiding drinkability, semi drying close.
Tidy sipper with a good bourbon spike that balances the smoked elements well.

Keg at If It Ain't Dutch. Dark and opaque cola brown. Thin foamy beige head. Aroma is sweet and boozy with smoke then appearing. Flavourwise the smoked element is more apparent followed by dark coffee and booze. Medium bodied. Slick to oily. Prickly soft fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish.
