Cask draught at Pacific standard. Pours ok but really truly unremarkable. Which accordingly makes it better than most chelsea productions to me.

Draft. Roasted malts & coffees etc. Dark w/medium head. Pretty good for a chelsea beer which I usually dont like.

I ad this out of a cask. Pretty good stuff, good hoppy aroma and bitter taste, but not too long.

Notes from 7/1/2008. Labeled as Long Island Altbier. Growler via Whole Foods poured into a 25oz wine glass. Responsibility goes out the window. Quarter head. Basic ruby, iced tea, bourbon-looking color. Now, accidentally drowning in the face of this monumental goblet doesn't seem so far fetched once it sits down next to you. Now if you please, a little private time while I get ugly on this jug. ;) ... Something like pecans but very muted. Mineral water, a little edge of maple, & a zesting of greens hopping up the end. Not getting much else with my nose here. Behind the wheel of my tongue, I get some nuttiness, but a big sense of being watered down. A little muddy, & a touch salty when introducing the leafy hops. Earthy like potting soil; just hops & dirty water. It's just not very good. Maybe a little dusty, but I probably dislike the low carbonation & tackiness more. My tongue feels like I just drank a pot of black tea. Shared the growler. What more do you want from me?
