Draft/Fest. A- Candied fruits, sweet. A- Mahogany color, clear liquid, tan head. T- Candy, sweet, artificial flavors. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Really sweet. Almost too sweet, actually it is too sweet. Tasted like fake hard candies and not much else. Okay, but not much depth.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunct-Hippie. 12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled in summer 2016. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger fairly dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, fudge, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of nuttiness, smoke, char, licorice, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, fudge, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of nuttiness, smoke, char, licorice, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy hop and roast/char bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, caramel, toffee, fudge, toasted dark bread, light nutty/smoke/char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light dryness from hop/roast bitterness, lightly increasing through the glass. Light-medium carbonation and full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and fairly sticky/chalky/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden, a mild warmth lingers after the finish. Overall this is an excellent imperial oatmeal stout! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to sip on for the ABV. Really rich and complex on malt flavors; with nice earthy hop/fruity yeast notes in the background, that are not overdone. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/light copper color with a small dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nuttiness, herbal, floral, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Touch of yeast fruitiness, but pretty minimal. Taste of big brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nuttiness, herbal, floral, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nuttiness, herbal, floral, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Minimal dryness. Light-medium carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/creamy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Fairly clean on lager flavors; slight yeasty notes present, but pretty minimal. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a very good Oktoberfest style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink. Nice rich malt flavors, with just enough hops to balance. A very enjoyable offering.

Beautiful amber pour with a light beige head. Piney hop bouquet, medium to full body with lots of pine bitterness, grapefruit pit and some sweetness in the finish. Quite a solid IPA.

Tap at Hathor. Nose of molasses, brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla. Cloudy black with lace. Sweet and spicy, huge vanilla, molasses, caramel, toffee. Fun stuff but a bit too much.

Deep copper coloured copper coloured body that’s fully clear with a large, five centimetre tall slightly off-white head. Aroma of rye, malt, toasted malt, grain, alcohol and a bit of hay with some noticeable hop elements throughout. Medium-bodied; Assertive flavours of grain and rye, especially with some nuts, earth, caramelised sugars and malt noticeable coupled with the lighter alpha acid hops. Aftertaste shows some robust flavours with mostly malt flavours, a little sugars and a touch of hops. Overall, a nice IPA for Nebraska, and one to try if you can find it - a good East Coast IPA that’s from west of the Mississippi! I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle purchased from the Class VI Liqour Store on Offutt AFB in Omaha, Nebraska on 26-October-2016 for US$8,99/six pack sampled at home in Washington on 01-September-2016 after working a long time at a big building in Arlington, Virginia.
