From notes taken from a bottle share at the Ratebeer Dec 20 gathering 2015 it is a clear gold color with a slight head. The Aroma is of green apples and the taste is delicious like apple crisp with a smooth creamy finish

From a bottle at the Ratebeer Dec 22 gathering 2015. Pours a clear gold with a scant head. Aroma of dank apples. Falvors of spiced apple betty.

Bottle courtesy of Radagast44, thanks! Clear golden yellow color, still. Aroma of vanilla and apple cobbler. Taste is lightly earthy fruit, vanilla, subtle butterscotch. Very tasty. Hopefully it’s rateable!

Bought a 375ml bottle in October and opened it up about a month ago. Poured a still dark golden yellow color with no head. Aroma was boozy apple cider, lots of rich apple brandy notes. Flavor was intense. Very warming - you can feel just about all 18% but it’s not medicinal or like drinking fire.

Draft pour at the Schilling Cider House. Rating from notes. Pours a pale golden color with no head. Big berry aroma. Some cabbage too? Weird, but not bad. Strawberry and rhubarb are there, but less dominant than I hoped/expected. Interesting.

On tap at Brouwer's for Big Wood 2015, pours a hazy golden with no head. Aroma brings out lots of farmhouse funk, almost like a gueuze, with a touch of acetic notes and oak. Flavour is intensely funky - really close to an authentic gueuze, with loads of funk and horse blanket that overtakes. Wouldn't even guess this was a cider. Really fantastic.

Draft - Lots of funk, geueze like with some berry. Cloudy gold with no head. Light acidity, lots of funk and a long funky light tart finish. I wouldn’t guess barrels but maybe that’s the funk.

6oz Glass at Brouwer’s, 11/8/15.
Excited to finally try a Millstone cider, and it did not disappoint. Golden-apple juice-like appearance shows moderately-high clarity. Small ring of bubbles, with light carbonation noted.
Certainly smells as if it’s going to be sweet, in the nose, but the bourbon is classy here, which is a real treat and there’s plentiful peach character and even some spicy apple notes. Light cinnamon-like phenols, vanilla and just a hint of wood.
Sweet, lightly syrupy at first, but with both the bourbon and wood drying things out. Some acidity from the peaches and apples kick in as well, but it certainly remains on the sweet side, overall. Which is fine and it’s a nice change of pace as I usually rarely drink sweet beverages. By no means cloying and with the bourbon done very reservedly, yet still adding complexity. The apples emerge more and more as it warms and help offset the stronger peachiness. Quite enjoyable, hoping to try more from Millstone!
