I’m usually game for most ginger infused drinks. $20 for a cider I’d never heard of? Shure. Pint glass pour. Clear, faded, pale yellow straw body. Smell is unidentifiable sweet and tart apples and mellow ginger. Taste is much the same. Very muddled, deep ginger, but soft and not spicy like I was expecting, which is a good thing. The base cider was nondescript, sweet, flabby & a touch on the thick side. Not much character to the cider itself, but the (candied?) ginger I thought was a nice change of pace.

750ml bottle, split among friends. Poured a very lightly hazed yellow-orange color, mostly still head. Aroma was lots of spruce, woody sap notes. Flavor was similar - light pine, resin, with some notes of light, honey. Alcohol was really well hidden.

750ml bottle on Thanksgiving. Poured a clear, totally still yellow color without a head at all. No real noticeable carbonation to speak of either. Aroma was very light apple, bourbon notes. Flavor was similar, light vanilla notes, light tart apple crispness. Tasty, though wife didn’t like it.

375ml flip-top bottle. Poured a mostly clear yellow color with a touch of golden hue to it. No head. There’s some easily disturbed sediment, but doesn’t mess up anything. Light crispness, semi-sweet apple notes. Light tartness on the finish. Tasty.

750ml bottle pours a murky yellow with basically no head. Nose has a lot happening, apples, green grapes, lemon, mild cheese cloth, a little candlewax. Flavor is very lemony, tart green apples and green apple skins, green grapes, some passion fruit, a little guava too. Finishes lightly tart, lightly acetic. Pretty nice.

Tap @ ANXO, Washington, DC. Pours nearly clear pale straw with no head. Muffled aroma of basement and crisp apples, with notes of fermentation. Dry, lingering flavour of crisp apples, increasing in acidity and ending on a long, vinous note wit dusty touches. Rough and ready. Very decent.
