2014-06-27, draught at the brewpub, 4.2% ABV, 7-3-6-3-14=33
Hazy pale blond color. Delicate fruity, citrusy aroma, light elderflower. Dry and weak mouthfeel; not much flavor, some hay, a bit of citrusy fruit.
Better aroma than flavor, quite good.

2014-03-15, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 10oz, 6-3-6-3-12=30
Cloudy pale yellow color with small compact head. Fresh aroma, some hay, citrusy scent. Light and dry mouthfeel; mild malt flavor, just a bit of crispness, some cereals, hay; correct bitterness with very light grass touch.
Pleasant in the sun.

Cask at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Muddy pale color with a shade of orange; medium sized frothy head. Mild delicate aroma of raspberries and bread. Light mouthfeel; smooth cask texture, and right temperature; delicate flavor, with some bread, some dough, raspberry hint, but not the expected acidity (very low indeed).
Refreshing.

Hazy light amber. Aroma is light citrus/pine hops. Assertive bitterness with a little crackery malts. Decent if thin pale.

Cloudy medium brown, has a yeasty and slightly floral aroma. Very sweet, a bit alcoholic as well, with accents of dates, candied orange peel, banana, and maybe a touch of chocolate. I’m not nuts about it, but it fits the style nicely.

On cask at the Alibi Room for the 500th beer list, pours a cloudy pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of lacto, wheat and raspberries. Flavour brings out loads of lacto notes, light raspberry, wheat and light funk. Very light on the palate and wonderfully balanced. Great stuff.

The delicate malt base and grassy hops need a few minutes to develop in the aroma. Crisp malt base, but also some hay feeling (7.5), robust bitterness, with moderate grassy hop touch, and light herbaceous touch.

Finally the planets and stars aligned and I got to try this one in the best conditions.
Hazy greenish yellow color. It has very nice cereal aroma and flavor, summer wheat fields, grassy hops, impressive for the elegance and the way everything blends together. Today, in the autumn sun, this beer is perfect.

2014-06-27, draught at the brewpub, 12oz, 7-3-6-3-14=33
Hazy blond color with small head. Dry, decent Pilsner, a bit papery, mostly in the final, lightly grassy; but the aroma is quite nice (7+).

2014-04-26, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 10oz, 7-3-6-3-14=33
Hazy blond color with compact head. The Pils aroma is quite perfumy, but the flavor focuses too much on the cereals and not on the bread; the hops deliver impression of grass and hay; very dry, with high bitterness level.

2014-03-25, draught at Tap & Barrel, Coal Harbour, Vancouver, 7-3-7-2-13=32
Hazy blond color with small head. Some crispy malt, but mostly the grassy hop make a pleasant aroma. The mouthfeel is lean and very dry; some crispy malt flavor and grassy hops again. Unfortunately the bitterness is too aggressive, and almost unpleasant in the final.

2014-03-06, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 6-3-7-4-13=33
Blond color, hazy, with small compact head. Delicate aroma of crispy malts and grassy hops. Dry mouthfeel, but a good malt presence keeps the mouth busy, with cereal and hay accent; strong bitterness, a bit grassy, but also invasive, with some chicory in the final.
Quite good job, some refining needed with the hops though.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma of biscuity malt, some light Belgian yeast and straw. Flavour is similar, and quite authentic for a tripel, with notes of Belgian yeast, straw, dry apples, and champagne. Well-balanced, without any residual sweetness like in so many shitty North American tripels. Good stuff.

Bottle - Lots of sweet banana esters. Pale gold with a fizzy white head. Lots of banana esters, hop bitterness, a bit of spice, even more boozy yeast and a dry finish. Although not a classic tripel, a tasty beer that was nice to drink.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Clear medium brown with dissipating tan head. Aroma is light toasted malt and nuts. Flavour same, quick finish, light body. Quite weak overall.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Black color with brownish compact head. Aroma of roasted malt, roasted nuts, a bit metallic. Strong roasted malt flavor, with a hint of coffee and roasted nuts; rather dry; the bitterness seems strong, with a disturbing chicory-like bitterness, and light metal impression.
Strange.
