Cask at Central City Winter Cask Fest '13, pours a diarrhea brown with a small beige head. Aroma of bananas, nuts and some chocolate. Flavour brings out chocolate, banana and toasted nuts, all well-balanced with one another. Quite full-flavoured, but medium bodied. Despite how shitty it looks, this is quite decent stuff.

Bottle - Sweet malts with some slight grains. Brown muddy not particularly pleasant looking, but a nice off white persistent head. Bitter and sweet with grains and malts in a nice balance. Nice mouth feel, but a chalky after-taste.

650mL bottle, split several ways, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma of dry fruit, English malt and some caramel. Flavour brings out the dry caramel malt on top, with some red berries, and leaves quite a bitter astringency on the finish. Quite dry and almost zero carbonation, but in the way that makes you wonder whether there wasn't a problem with the bottling process. Good flavours, but it doesn't hold together well and the carbonation is a detractor. Decent, but flawed.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a chalky malt with butterscotch and British hops. In mouth, sweet malt with English hops, not bad. On tap at Alibi Room, March 22, 2012.

Amber-brown and hazy. First whiff is diacetyl - oh goody. The body is light and juicy, and it finishes a bit thin, ok, but not much nuance. The diacetyl overwhelms everything. Even if one (foolishly) accepts the idea that diacetyl is something you can have in a bitter, a) there is far too much of it and b) it doesn’t belong in a light, juicy bitter anyway. But really, it’s a flaw. Get it out there and you’ll have a good beer.

Mild aroma of cereals, malt, hops. Dry caramel flavor, good resiny hops, lingering fruitiness.
Pleasant.

Hazy light amber color. Very nice aroma, quite impressive; at first, it’s very fruity, with apricot, peach, notes of tropical fruits; then it shows a nice biscuity malt; finally, some delicate lemony vibrations, lemon cookies too.
Unfortunately the flavor doesn’t stand up; the carbonation is low, which is a positive thing usually; the body is quite weak, and the mouthfeel dry; there is some flavor of toffee, but without excitement; decent bitterness level, the hopping is quite resiny and with some lemony side too.
Pleasant, original; I would like to drink a version with just some more power, maybe next time.
