A: clear amber, thin, off-white head.
A: overripe mango, plum, raisin, biscuit, oxidised.
T: sweet plum, mango, fig, biscuit & brioche.
F: floral hops, ripe fruit, bit herbal.
P: medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Lacks freshness and structure.

Fles gekregen van BartvG, geprobeerd met LiekevdV en Roelzie. Het is een diep donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Het aroma is fruitig en wat bessen en rozijnen achtig. De smaak is vol fruitig, zacht zoet en licht zuur. Helaas mis ik de bourbon volledig.

Fles thuis gedronken. Diep donkerbruin bier zonder schuim. Aroma van drop en salmiak. De volle smaak is drop-achtig en het hoge ABV is merkbaar. De smaak van laurier en salmiak blijft goed hangen maar het geeft wel een zeer plakkerige mond.

Sample @ Brygshoppen. No head. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, licorice, nuts, fruits and has a nice oily finish.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with late awakening, small, creamy, fading, dark beige head. Peaty and dark malty aroma, notes of leather, peat, TCP, some dark caramel, a touch of nougat, dark chocolate, praliné. Taste is nutty, dark and caramel malty, peaty, notes of dark caramel, dark chocolate, peat, TCP, some leather, a touch of nougat, praliné; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Creamy-oily texture, smooth, soft and silky, minimally cloying palate, very fine, soft carbonation. Rich, balanced, round, harmonious, good BA support, excellent mouthfeel - very pleasant sipper.

14/1/2023. Bottle at the Haderslebener tasting. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, liquorice, ash, tobacco, caramel, leather, boozy notes. Medium sweetness, medium to heavy boozy bitters. Medium to full body, sticky, soft carbonation. Pretty decent.

14/1/2023. Bottle at the Haderslebener tasting. Pours black with a minimally bubbly head. Aroma of dark chocolate, raisins, wood, roasted malt, biscuit, boozy notes. Medium sweetness, alcohol bitters. Medium to full body, sticky, very soft carbonation. Smooth finish, with long boozy warmth. Lovely sipper.

14/1/2023. Bottle at the Haderslebener tasting. Zeeland rating #10. Pours clear dark amber bronze with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of whisky, toffee, biscuit, warming alcohol. Fairly sweet with medium bitterness. Medium to full body, sticky, average carbonation. Heavy work.
