Bottle 33 cl. Pours dark brown with an orange hue and a tiny, beige head. Rather intense and unmistaking aroma of Eisbock: brown sugar and molasses. Nothing that suggests an IPA though. Very rich, fat and oily body, nuts, molasses and caramel with a salty edge. Very potent and warming finish with quite some bitterness. Has absolutely nothing to do with an IPA, this is an Eisbock. Period. But a very decent one. 310325

Sweet malty with some notes of dark dried fruit shred, some caramel and toffee sweetness, brown sugar, bourbon soaked wood accents throughout, medium plus body, spiced lingering bourbon infused warming malty finish. Nice one.

Sweet and roasted dark malty with nice nutty accents going on, cocoa, full bodied, nutty almond dark sweet roasted malty finish.

Clear glass bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear golden with a small, white head. Odd aroma of sweet malt, somewhat oxidized. Medium body, quite dry with an astringent bitterness - quinine style almost. 180325

Just smelling this brew is an adventure all itself. And then... A rich aroma of vanilla, mocha, fudge, bourbon, smoked wood, charred oak, burned coffee beans. The use of whiskey barrels pays off fantastically.This would be a perfect beer to supplement a large meal, I should try that one day. Overall, this is quite a spectacular Imperial Stout, the first Emelisse I’ve drank and made me aware of the brewery. More will follow.

Pours a cloudy golden with a good white head. Fruity aroma of citrus, wheat and some spices. Medium bitter aftertaste. This is a tasty weizen from a great Dutch brewery.

Pours a black colour with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark fruits, coffee beans, dark chocolate. Flavour is strong coffee, ripe fruit. Smooth stout with a relatively dry finish. I enjoyed this one very much.

Pours an amber colour with a small white head. Aroma of malt, grapefruit, fruity hops. Nice long bitter finish. Well balanced, very good Double IPA.
