Pour is a bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma is slightly skunked and overpowers everything else. Flavor is bland and boring. Nothing really detectable. Not good and hard as hell to find in the data base.

Bottled. Ruby red colour, with almost no head. Sweet caramel, vegetables and hoppy aroma. Flavour is lightlt roasted malt, caramel and some unclean notes, almost like unclean tap, though it is bottled. Especially noteable in the aftertaste.

Bottled (BB 11/2006)
Light amber golden, small white head. Buttery, typical Czech slightly diacetylic nose. Malty, buttery, slightly diacetyl. Quite light, some oaky hops in the finish. Hard metallic aftertaste with some sweet maltyness and light hops.

Dark red ruby, decent tan head, lace. Sweet yeasty and caramelly aroma. Reasonably malty, somewhat hoppy, a bit caramelly with yeasty sweetness like from unclean tap - but this is bottled and from somewhat modern brewery I believe. At least interesting to say.

Bottle (4.9%). Dark golden colour. Semi-stable white head. Smells like ashtray. Flavour is malty, but mouthfeel is very thin. Low carbonation. Not much flavour, but well-balanced bitterness. A little disappointing.

Canned. Golden colour, small white head. Diacetyl and sweet malt in aroma. Also some grassy hints. Flavour is grassy and skunked hops/malts. Very boring and quite unpleasant.

Made for Swedish markets.
Pale golden color, creamy white head. Buttery hoppy, cardboard aroma in the light nose. Malty, light, mild Czech-type hops. Slightly harsh hoppy aftertaste. Quite typical. Czech bulk lager.

Bought last fall. Diplomat Dark label. Dark reddish brown with a thick light moka head wich collapses. Sweet chocolate malt with raisinous notes, but showing signs of oxidation. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity apple malt with moka notes and light sustained hops in finish. Oily mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Not bad.

Newly imported bottle consumed on 10/20/2005 in a Ococim Pils glass, significantly chilled. Pours a deep urine-gold with some copperish-red tinges, clear, large-bubbled and with a prominent white head that is fully collapsing, after a few minutes, but provides some light lacing and retains at cover. Smells doughy-sweet, moderately hoppy (lightly spicy and floral notes), with some very faint yellow fruits in the background (golden apples). Flavor is very dry and undermalted, was actually expecting some sweet doughiness based on the nose. Good hops bitterness, but no real hops flavor is the biggest problem. Mouthfeel is lightly watery, but not exceedingly so by any means. Some light touches of honey and grains here and there, but lo and behold, in creeps the plastic/crayon notes that scream of short lagering time. Has potential and was not altogether unsatisfying, though I can think of tons of cleaner pilsners I’d rather drink as a session beer. Light bodied, some metallic notes, but still has a nice yeast bite coupled with monotonous hops bitterness on the end. . .and crayons.
