Description
Two Roads Brewing Company was founded in 2012 by four friends who dreamed for years of starting a craft brewery. We foster a “road less traveled” philosophy in the beers we make and how we make them. In that spirit, Phil Markowski, our award-winning Brewmaster and 27 year craft beer veteran has created an extensive lineup that takes a unique twist on classic beer styles. Two Roads was named one of the ten best breweries in America by Paste Magazine and has won many awards including gold for Belgian Lambic style Ale in 2016 at the Great American Beer Festival.
Two Roads isn’t just the logo on our brewery building, it’s our philosophy. Life always seems to offer up two ways to go. It just so happens, we prefer the one less taken and having some fun along the way – in our lives, our careers and especially for our beers! Now our “road less traveled” philosophy is being brought to life in the beers that we create and how we create them.

Thanx Derrick for the bottle.
This was poured into a pilsener.
The appearance was a nice hazy golden with a one and a half finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute.
There is a slight lacing coming here and there.
The smell had a decent citrus to tangerine to grassy to herbal to a light biscuity sort of flavoring.
The taste was basically the same flavorings with an added dry grassy sort of herbalness to let a slight crispness coming through.
On the palate, this was fairly light and pervasive as a Pilsener with a fairly decent malt driven loveliness flowing about this.
Overall, for the most part, this was a good Pilsener I’d have again.

Tap at Barcade. Hazy. Lemony hop nose with biscuit-like pilsner malts. Crisp hop flavor, good beefy malts. Very solid pils.

Tap at Fette Sau. Bright amber colored. Nose of caramel, earth, Belgian yeast spiciness. Fruity flavor, peach, orange, eatery, gain and earthy. A bit less than I want.

Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Golden, slightly hazy body, with a big, frothy, stable, white head. Light aroma of citrus, tangerine, grass, herbs, some biscuit. Taste with about the same aromas. Mouthfeel is light, slick, with a medium carbonation and it finishes medium bitter, slightly dry, with lemon peel, grass, herbs. Good. Refreshing, crisp and with nice citric notes. Not very aromatic though, a bit too light for my liking, like many pilsener.

Frisch grasiger, leicht honigartiger Hopfenantrunk. Die Hopfenintensität bleibt bestehen, helles Malz, getreidig. Zitrusnoten, passend bitter. Vollmundig, steigend hopfig, würzig. Gut! 11/12/10/12/11/12

Draught at 3 Små Rum, Göteborg, on April 19, 2014.Black color, dark brown head. Sweet, roasted, cocoa, toffee taste. Roasted, ash aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, medium to medium high bitterness. Sweet, malty, roasted scent. If a bit more sweet and less dry and attenuated, with that some less alcohol and a smoother relaxed body with less CO2, it would fit me very well indeed. Even so, a very nice beer!

Nice hefeweizen, I had it in between some IPA’s and strong stouts, it was a nice intermezzo. Smooth, wheaty and fruity, with some mild hops.

Bottle. A lightly hazy one, dark golden in color and with a small, dense, off-white head leaving lacings. The aroma has pine cones and resins, with some grapefruit notes and pale malts. It’s full-bodied and with a nice carbonation level. Grapefruit, pine cones and resins in the flavor, the malts lurking in the background. Lasting finish with lots of bitterness and grapefruit peel. Pretty nice this one, although a bit weak all the way. 140815
