Can at Candid, Stafford – shared with Black Haddock. Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma is mainly chocolate, with oaty traces. A bit watery in texture, but the flavour profile makes up for it. A whole load of liquorice, roast malts, vanilla and a little chocolate. “Very stouty” according to my notes ! Hides its strength well too.

440ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Hazy unclear golden orange complexion, small white head. Super oily on the palate, dank, slick leanings with overipe sweet tropics coming firmly into view.. My first from Fallen Acorn and its very decent indeed.

Can ordered from Twisted Crow, Basingstoke. Apparently I should have rolled the can before serving which explains the lack of froth. Otherwise has the appearance of a purple smoothie. Aroma is Turkish Delight-esque: the combination of the berries, fruit and marshmallow. Initial light sourness, the berries as much as anything else, followed by the fruit and a touch of sweetness. The latter picks up into the finish. Thick. Gloomy. Pithy. Flat carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. A boozy smoothie. But I like it.

Can ordered from Twisted Crow, Basingstoke. Aroma had harsh grapefruit and pine, with underlying grains. Opaque amber. Thick fluffy foamy white head. Very bitter. Matches the aroma. The pine is amped up. Again, it's harsh. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry and particularly astringent finish. Raw. Harsh. But at least it's not twigwater.

Can ordered from Twisted Crow, Basingstoke. Aroma is malty, nutty, chocolatey, with a sour berry edge. Dark opaque brown. Foamy beige head. Medium bitter before a big sweet streak. Salty edge. Underlying malt/Horlicks. Dark chocolate, peanut butter, sweet berries (Turkish Delight, perhaps?). Medium bodied. Creamy. Oily. Average carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. Full of flavour as opposed to adjuncts. Lovely jubbly.

Can bought at Andover Tap, Andover. Aroma is certainly dank, vinous. With a citrus sweet streak. Hazy light orange. Thin foamy translucent white head. Medium bitter core. Relaxed resin. Big fruity syrupy streak. Spice Marmalade. Medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long slightly dry finish. I like this. Boozy marmalade.

On tap at Craft Beer Junction Bermondsey. Cloudy gold colour thin lasting white head. low carbonation. some coconut but mostly a rather nice citrus tropical flavour. I rather liked this for being relaxed. touch if sweaty Sox on the finish. OK. apricot. yes decent.

Keg at Brewers Tap, Southsea. Malty creamy/coconut milk praline aroma. Dark but not overly thick looking. Thin gray head is creamy but just clings to the rim. Creamy chocolate vanilla, Irish Cream - the coconut transmutes. Underlying bitterness. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. As previously mentioned this really does make me think of Irish Cream or a similar liquor. Nice.
