Sweet roast-malty aroma with ethereally and spicy notes, accompanied by a tinge of alcohol and plums. Sweet flavour, full bodied with a soft carbonation. Roast-malty taste with fruity elements and a slightly vinous touch; sweet malty and cinnamon spicy finish Fits its name. 16.IX.08

Rating I found in an old note book. Bottle. Poured hazy brown with a slight red hue and a small tan head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had dark notes with some raisins sticking out as well as a bit of roasted malts and some grains. Flavor began with dark fruits but finish brought out a bit of nuttiness with caramel and raisins.

Bottle @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Dark body, almost black with a thin, but dense brown head. Aroma is rich, dark, slightly roasted malt. Flavor is sweet and light roasted malt, coffee, mocha and dry fruit. Very smooth flavor with a long and bitter finish. Complex without being heavy.

Bottle pours out a cloudy golden topped with a small white head. Aroma is of sweet honey, spice, floral and citrus hop notes. Taste was very interesting sweet honey and then bitter pine needles/juniper. Not over the top bitter or sweet. A petty unique beer.

8th May 2010. Copenhagen Beer Festival. Cloudy dark brown beer. No head. Light palate - a little dry. Some chocolate and a dash of spice. Surprisingly simple for a multi ingredient big beer but it’s decent!

22nd May 2010. ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting! Cloudy brown beer. Rich toffeeish malt with some sweetish ginger. Finishes dry. Not bad, the malt and ginger are well balanced. A bit different!

Bottle. Pours cloudy gold with a small, white head. Nose of honey and malt. Quite sweet, with loads of honey, caramel, spices and some citrus. There is a mild hop presence towards the finish. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation and a smooth, almost creamy character. Not bad at all.
