Pours a nice gold with a small head that dissipated quickly.
The smell is quite fruity and malty; a sign of good things to come.
The taste is also fruity with maybe a lemony note in the background but up front, it's about the malt. A very drinkable English Bitter, it's one of my favourites of the style.

Handpull cask at the Ring O'Bells, Kendal. Dark gold with a small white head. Light hop aroma of limeade, hay, notes of lemongrass. Taste is bittersweet with vinous and gummy notes and a fruity bitter finish. More grassy flavour in the aftertaste. A classic taste.

Cask-conditioned at the York Tap 22/7/2017. Deep gold in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Citrus hop aroma, sweetish malts, tropical fruits, some white pepper notes and a dryish finish. Good.

Sampled @ GBBF 2017, Day 1. A clear pale golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of mild fruity hops, yellow fruits. Taste of mild citrusy hops, lime, pale malt, low carbonation.

Cask @ Market Tavern, Brighouse. Golden-blonde with a head. Light and hoppy and very easy down the palate. It feels watery but isn’t.

0.5l bottle. Malty aroma, light caramel notes, extra light hopy notes. Light hazy amber color, white head. Malty taste, hopy notes, light caramel, matured fruits notes, light to medium bitter. Medium to full body, slick to thick texture, soft to average carbonation and malty and hopy bitter finish. Good.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Almost clear pale gold beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth light malts, a little bready. Mild floralness. Light semi dry finish. Comes over as a particularly wishy washy lager.
