Growler pour courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours murky amber with tan head. The aroma is spiced green apples, under ripe cherries, raisins, brown sugar, braised chicken and a bit of yeasty spices. The taste is pretty refreshing with drying tartness bringing up notes of cherries, sweet/tart berry candy and green apples. It ends thin in body as well as nice and dry and smoothly refreshing.

Bottle shared by maniac. Thanks! Pours a clear dark amber color with a thin head. Decent head retention and lacing. Toasty aroma with notes of toffee, booze, apple, peaches and leafy hops. The taste is caramel, toffee, toasted malts, oats, some dusty notes and booze. Bristly mouthfeel, full bodied. Decent beer.

From the 12 oz. bottle. The pour is a very cloudy pale yellow with a small soapy white head. Head left small spotty lacing in my Weizen glass on the way down. Pleasing aroma of wheat, yeast, and many different spices: The taste is much the same, (mostly orange peel and coriander) with a light bitter after taste, plus a hint of pepper at the end as well. The mouthfeel is light. It is fairly true to the style. It’s like drinking and remembering a small piece of summer on a cold November night. Well done by Haverhill Brewery, they have inspired me to make a trip to the brew pub!

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Very dark brown colour. Not great. Some dark lager characteristics. But has funny finish. Herb and touch of liquorice. Not great and not my thing.
