On tap. Pours a hazy yellow gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has a good amount of grass and yeast with a hint of floral and grains. Flavor has grass up front with a bit of bitterness with light fruit and flora coming out in the finish backed by earthy grains.

Bottle shared at the Euston Tap, London, during Nick’s stupidly drunken final big night. Pours a light, hazy yellow with a small, white foam head. Nose holds lemon, wheat and straw. Flavor is medium sweet with some hay bitters, dry lemon and more wheat. Medium bodied with fine, smooth carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with lemon, more wheat, faint yeast, very mild tangy citrus, faint funk. Super drinkable beer. Nice stuff.

Bottle shared at the Euston Tap, London, during Nick’s obscenely drunken going-away party. Pours hazy, yellow-gold with a fine, white foam head. Very pleasant nose, some light yeast, straw and lemon pith. Great flavor, lots of sweet dough, yeast. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet, semi-dry finish with more dough and yeast, along with mild fruit notes. A very nice saison.

27th February 2010
hazy amber beer. Foamy white head, a big one! Slightly soft palate, quite dry. Light creamy malt and a surprising amount of hops that impart reasonable bitterness. Fresh orange. Finishes dry with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Feels more like a modest IPA.

Several 10oz pours at Pizza Paradiso Georgetown. Hazy, yellow gold, with a frothy, creamy white head. Nose is nice, very approachable, hay, grass, wheat, slightly estery, a distinct minerality, floral, honey, light citrus. Flavor is the same, chrysanthemum, light doughy, crackers, wheat, grass, light citrus. Finish is refreshing, dry, lightly chalky. Loved this.
