Draft sampled about 37 times at Max’s. This was the most frequently seen beer at the festival, and each of the guys has hashmarks on his hands to prove it. Murky yellow color, small white head, solid lacing. Aroma of pineapple, breadfruit, straw. Taste is raw lemon bread dough. Very nice.

Walnut and oak nose. Hazy auburn, medium head. Maple syrup sweetness with oak, approaching butterscotch but remaining within acceptable range.

Light yeast and coriander nose. Milky yellow, medium head. Coriander with light chlorophenols. American Wheat ale? Why not a wit? Granted, it’s not a great one, but it drinks true to style.

Where the Wild Beers Are, 2011. Heavily carbonated, with a tall white head. Brown color, and dry. Medium sweet with lots of yeast.

On tap at Gourmet Haus. Pours a pale straw. The nice is nice, with sour present and some spice. Thinnish mouthfeel, but the sour flavor dominates here. Maybe a little too much for style and lacking some spice, but a great beer.

750ml Bottle - Amber/red in colour. Marmalade, yeast, dried fruit and malt in the aroma. Fruity and hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, marmalade, malt and a moderate bitter and fruity finish.

Capped 750 from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours hazy dirty gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is citric, but there’s something smooth and fruity as well. Med + body - but not when the carb dissipates. Flavor is smooth light stone fruit, a bit of wheat, and a touch of citrus. I think this ale demonstrates that a wheat ale can be turned into a hop monster. One queries what this would have been had it been more barley than wheat. As time goes on, the aroma goes floral. The taste becomes simply hop. What a glorious endeavour. Makes me think of the Disney movie Ratatouille. Not everyone can make a great ale, but a great ale could be made by anyone. This is not to denigrate J-J, but simply to acknowledge that I’d never have expected this from a wheat ale.

750mL bottle, pours a very dirty looking orangey brown with a substantial beige head. Aroma of molasses, dark sweetened fruits, yeast, mild funk and heavy sweet malts - doesn't seem like a saison. Flavour of barnyard, molasses, dark dry fruits, some vinous notes, and yeast. Not so complex for a saison and seems a bit off-style. I'm not usually a fan of these darker saisons.

Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit II. Hazy, a touch orangish golden appearance with a white head. Floral, light hibiscus, spicy, light coriander, light yeasty, wheat malty aroma. Tangy, lemon zesty, floral, herbal hoppy, light yeasty, wheat malty flavor with a slightly tangy finish.

750ml bottle from De Molen - Tasting glass. First portion clear orange, following portions hazy orange with tolerably swiftly fading white head. Ester aromas with some grass. Light body. Soft carbonation. Delectable hoppy finish. Easy to drink.
