Description
The Féculerie farm, erected from the 14th to the middle of the 18th century, in Jandrain-Jandrenouille has been transformed into a brewery since the summer of 2007. Born in 2006, from the infatuation of two university comrades, the original equipment came from the berry brewery. Currently, Alexandre Dumont de Chassart continues the solo project and works to increase the capacity of the brewery as well as the development of new products.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours a slightly hazy body, copper-colored and with a finger-thick off-white head leaving cute lacings. The aroma is dominated by the hops. Fruity, citrusy and resiny hops and some yeast. Malts left in the back, but with some caramel. Dry and full-bodied. The flavor has some caramel and yeast, a pleasant bitterness, and fruity, citrus peel tasting hops. A bit short on the finish, mostly hoppy. Nothing impressive really, but it drinks quite easily and tastes quite pleasant. 101016

Draught@Moeder Lambic Fontainas
Clear amber color, big cloudy off-white head. Aroma has citrus, perfume, caramel and alcohol. Quite light body for this ABV. Pale malty alcoholic with hoppyness. Also kind of sour. Lingering tart hoppyness. A bit empty and uninspiring.

Bottle. Nice saison. Aroma is lemony and grassy with a distinct earthy, barnyard yeast note. Peppercorns and fresh barley. A bit of mineral flavor in the finish. Taste starts with some light caramel malt moves into a lemony note and finishes dry with funk. Light golden amber with a nice white head that manages to be bountiful without going entirely nuts like some saisons. Mouthfeel is relatively smooth and dry. Lemon and earth sticks in the finish. Very nice.

Bottle thanks to someone. Pours with a clear and pale yellow body with a white head. Aroma was dank! Weed, sage, fruity, grass, and pepper. Taste of seltzer water, tropical fruit, dank and grassy. A bit watery. Very...uhh, herbal. Lively and dry mouthfeel. A good hoppy saison.

Bottle, 6.5%. Subtle teaish hop aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is rather hoppy, like a grassy hoppy pils. Hint of fruit, soft fruits with a faint hint of citrus. From the hops or yeast, it is hard to tell. Still very clean. Good clean bitterness in the finish, along with a little dust. Well-balanced. Perhaps too clean for the style, if that is possible.

(Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas) The beer poured reddish brown and a little bit hazy. Its head was quite large, long lasting and white. Aroma had yeastiness and caramell. Palate was quite light bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were yeast, spiciness, hops, malts, mild sourness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. The biggest flaw with this beer was that most of its flavours disappeared almost instantly - all that remained was the almost acrid bitterness.

(Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas) The beer poured golden and cloudy. Its head was medium sized, dense and white. Aroma had spiciness and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, fruitiness, sweetness, hops, spiciness and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A very different wheat beer than what I’m used to and a really good one.
