On ne peut pas être tous les jours gagnants sur les dégustations, et cette triple qui ne mérite pas cette dénomination m'a fait regretter d'avoir décapsuler cette bouteille. Déjà peu équilibrée avec un alcool à 8,5% mal intégrée, une petite acidité mal venue, c'est surtout sur ses arômes qu'elle pêche. Le brasseur l'a-t-il réellement goûté ? Le cocktail entre vin blanc, céréales, banane, pomme, poire accompagné d'une ponte de coriandre est piu2r le moins très particulier. Le visuel se porte sur un blond doré légèrement voilé et avec une mousse fine et disparate. Le nez est sur le vin blanc, les céréales avec une pointe de banane, une petite acidité, et un côté acétique. La dégustation est peu heureuse, c'est à la fois un peu lourd en bouche, un peu acide, avec l'alcool dissonant et une légère astringence, et surtout avec ces arômes peu emballants. Corpulence et longueur sont tout de même très correctes, mais quel en est l'intérêt à vrai dire. A éviter.

02/09/2019 @home - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Clear blonde, medium head. Nose is malty, thin fruity. Taste is malts, bit fruity, bit grassy. OK.

Tripel aged on Marc de Bourgogne barrels, a kind of brandy akin to Italy’s grappa, effectively turning it into a kind of barleywine. At BXL Beerfest. Medium thick, pale yellowish beige head lacing in shreds over a murky brownish-tinged pale bronze beer. Aroma of strong grappa indeed, nougat, ground pecan nuts, dry cookies, strong green pear and even ‘Poire William’ effects, cognac, honey liqueur, glue, dried figs, touch wet wood, very old brown sugar. Sweet and even sugary onset, honeyish with notes of figs and dates, softish carbonation, full and fluffy mouthfeel, light sourish undercurrent; deeply sweet pecan- or peanutty and caramelly malt body, bready effects, a bit ‘dirty’ in the end even but ‘burned’ away by quite intense and indeed outspoken grappa- or eau de vie-like booziness, heating the finish over a lingering, powdery sugariness and malt sweetness, while woody effects remain relatively subtle. A bit crude and too boozy at this ABV at least for me personally, reminiscent of the same brewery’s ‘sea monster series’ but more desserty and a bit less demanding; could do with a bit of cleaning up and somewhat less alcoholic heat, but there is no denying that this is a daring, intense and interesting beer especially in a Belgian context.

Bottle. Black, opague. Porto, roast and caramel in the aroma. Malty sweetish, roasty flavor with ash, peat, smoke, raisin, porto and licorice. Alcoholic. Tobacco in the finish.

Bottle. dark brown color, cloudy. Gusher! Roast, vinous notes and bourbon in the aroma. Sour alcoholic flavor. caramel, raisin, hints of bourbon, oak. Grapes, overripe fruit. The complexity is hampered by the sourness, intended or not.

330 ml bottle, from Det Bette Ølhus, Ålbæk. ABV is 5.8%, 35 EBU. Hazy and deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Nice aroma of mild cookie spices (including cinnamon) and malts. The flavour is also malty with mild but distinct spices, but not too sweet. Moderate hops in the finish. Decent Christmas beer.
