Description
In 2014, we started Verdant to make beers that we love. Nothing’s changed. It’s still about taste, quality, and all ’round deliciousness. Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered, hazy beers that are always vegan! That’s us. Apart from the vegan bit. We’re bad at being vegan, but our beers are great at it. We’re independent, and always will be — that way we can continue to push boundaries and make beer we love, and hopefully you will love them too.

33cl Can from Beer Boutique, Putney. Hazy pale yellow colour, white head. Aroma of lots of citrus, lemon juice, quite hoppy and juicy. Flavour of lemon juice, citrus fruits, hint of grain, soft juicy bitter finish. Light bodied. Easy and tasty.

Can at Leighton’s 20K tasting, thanks to the main man himself. It pours cloudy orange with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, bright, peachy, apricot, piney juice and dank action. The taste is quite soft, sweet, juicy, slick, mango, papaya, tangy fruits, brioche, pine, green, grassy, dank and some alcohol bite through the finish. Finish is slick and juicy - sweet. Medium body and fine carbonation. What’s not to like? Tasty stuff.

Cam. Third time of trying this beer and the best, a little time has helped it mature greatly. Very hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Airy palate, semi dry and with decent carbonation. Smooth malts, light creamy sweetness. Mild floral bitterness. Floral tangerine and orange. Light lime - lemon. Soft pine. Soft finish. Nice.

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - golden amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - tropical fruit, possibly overripe melon. Some citrus too, probably orange or lime. Resin bitter finish. Taste - more melon and lime. Some passionfruit or mango too if you look for it. A lot of resin. Palate - light to medium bodied. Creamy, tangy texture through the middle section, dry finish. Overall - not sure it tastes as strong as it is. If I could change anything about it, I’d slightly tone down the resin note. Good though.
