Description
In 2014, we started Verdant to make beers that we love. Nothing’s changed. It’s still about taste, quality, and all ’round deliciousness. Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered, hazy beers that are always vegan! That’s us. Apart from the vegan bit. We’re bad at being vegan, but our beers are great at it. We’re independent, and always will be — that way we can continue to push boundaries and make beer we love, and hopefully you will love them too.

Can picked up at Hop Locker. It pours cloudy deep orange with a medium white head. The aroma is rich, sweet, very juicy, peachy, mango, papaya, marmalade, brioche and candied peel. The taste is crisp, dry, some grassy bitterness, mango, peachy pulp. papaya, fruit smoothie, bread, bit of pine, lick of alcohol and minerals with a dry and fruity finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Maybe doesn’t quite sing like some of verdant’s recent offerings, but it is tasty. nonetheless.

Can. Also at Leighton’s 20K. Hazy gold - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, mildly dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Light malts, mildly sweet, a little cream. Sweet pine. Nice light sweetish tropical fruits, mango and even a trace of banana! Mild hop spice. At Leighton’s 20K a week and a bit later the tropical character had strengthened and become more complex with other tropical fruits coming. More hop spice as well. Lovely stuff.
