Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is peppery yeast, dough, spelt. Taste is big spelt and rye spice, nice heavy body, dry finish. Oily chewy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Bottle at Bierkiste München sat outside, off to a gig by Ditz tonight at Milla, Friday 16th June 2023. Pours dark murky brown with an off-white head. The nose is as expected, some banana but also toffee and chocolate and maybe caramel. Nice mouthfeel the carbonation is good. Tastes great very nice interplay between yeast and the banana and a little cocoa flavour showing. There is a pleasant fruity tang, this is a very good Dunkler Weizenbock.

330 ml can. Unclear golden with a foamy head. Lots of resin, tangerine, lemon zest, grapefruit, mango, again resin and pine, spring onion, weed, rye, sourdough.Hoppy bitterness, some grainy sweetness. Medium bodied, oily watery texture, lively carbonated, hoppy bitter grassy finish. Not a traditional Zwickl, rather an IPL or a „Neo Zwickl“ as stated on the can, but a good one, also a quite refreshing tasty summer beer!

Can picked up and consumed at Bierkiste, München Sunday 28th May 2023 in the company of Dad and Pauline. Pours black with a light off white rim of bubbles, not as earthy as expecting, super soft mouthfeel, a little choco caramel. Good.
