Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Not far off black. Barely a head. Fruity, dark malts. Some dark chocolate. Creamy Sorachi. Taste is vinous, roast bitter. Gets resinous bitter. Nice, creamy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Bitterness kicks in and rises on the finish. Verging on BIPA territory, which I guess is the idea. Good stuff.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. 6.0%. Hazy, dark orange. Frothy, foamy, off white head. Good looker. Nose has fruity, jammy malts. Bit of ginger biscuit. Soft hop spice. Zesty, tangy citrus. Has a fair minerality to it. Taste is nicely balanced, tangy bitter, and juicy sweet. Crisp carbonation and a clean palate match well. Crisp bitter finish. The aroma doesn’t jump out the glass, but this is a tasty, easy drinker. Nice one.

ChrisO Tasting. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Notably tangy wheaty malts with a little rye like spice, only my second Chevalier malt beer, but the taste seems quite distinctive. Thin malt cream. Good citric peel, touch of ripe orange. Unsweet esters. Interesting beer.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-Christmas Tasting. It pours clear gold - amber with a medium white head. The nose is toasted grain, earth, dried malts, honeyed cereal and some apple. The taste is toasty, earthy, cereal, toasted grain, porridge, honey, spice, dry wood and grass. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Cereal / porridge character. Interesting and quite unique.

Bottle split at Chriso pre Xmas tasting, 06/12/15. Clear golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is bitter citrics, light orchard, green apple, bready notes. Taste comprises citric peel, melon, orange, vanilla, airy malt, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Ok but rather pedestrian for the style.

Taste of light caramel, soft bitter hops, light fruits, quite hoppy, soft citrus
Palate - Medium light body, soft texture, well balanced. Finish has slight citrus, bit more bitter in the tail
Overall - Easy going, refreshing
