very pale golden color light frothy head. Lemony, lightly mild with a touch of pepper. Very light body, highly refreshing, but not overly complex. Moderately hoppy. Well balanced summer saison. Very quaffable.

hazy golden white color. Very frothy white head. Very pungent citrusy nose. The mouth is very light smooth, dry and hoppy. The finish is much more subdued, lots of citrusy character but not tons of bitterness. Very quaffable. A bit if a roller coaster ride with flavor, but in a good way.

Cloudy golden color. The nose is fairly dry, slight sour, with a touch if fruitiness. The mouth is very very sour, tart, light, lime and Mikan finish. I am not so familiar with the Gose style, but I thought it was a very interesting take and very approachable, unlike some Gose I’ve had in the past.

Light amber color. Big, sharp citrus nose very surprising. The mouth is dry, slightly astringent, moderately hoppy. A bit heavier body than expected. Moderately aggressive bitter finish. Slightly warming.

On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. A hibiscus pale ale. A cloudy orange pour with a filmy head. A nice tropical fruit aroma. Quite full bodied, smooth with a spicy/zesty body. The hibiscus & hops make you feel like you’re walking through the jungle in bloom.

On tap at Beer Keyaki. A cloudy light straw gold with a very fruity aroma, zesty flavor with a round mouthfeel. The taste is quite citrusy, some saison funk, a bit of light malts. Refreshing and balanced.

dark amber color. Very smooth. Nice malty backbone. Tried this against several other IPAs at a beer fest and this was second highest favorite.

Bottle from the brewery. Cloudy, murky brown with a few bubbles. Chocolaty, fudge-like nose, spices, fruits, slightly tropical. Coconut maybe? Sweet, chocolate flavor, fruity and spicy, though these are not overdone. Slightly bitter finish, some from spice, a bit from hop. More of a spiced brown and a porter, really, as it is not very roasty at all. Tangy fruits, come citrus spice. Nice, though not quite as solid as the regular porter.

Bottle from the brewery. Dark brown, cloudy, almost murkey, with not much of a head—a low, bubbly one. Nice cocoa aroma, some wood, light caramel and milk chocolate, cream. Sweet, creamy, chocolaty flavor. Rich and creamy, nice roast, café au lait. Light fruitiness too. Hoppy, bitter finish. Very well done, best of their beers so far. Nicely hoppy. A little better head and a bit more body and you’re there.
