On tap at CBC Sapporo. Cloudy golden orange with a small eggshell colored head. Great lacing. Aromas of grass, pine and some light tropical fruit. Very well balanced on the palate. Nice malt sweetness that pairs with the hop bitterness. Smooth balanced finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of IPA on 16 Feb 2016 at 22:25

On tap at the Watering Hole 3rd Anniversary event under the name: "Non to Makoto Second Season". Clear light brown with a small off-white head. Nice fruit forward nose with some peach and apricot along with some caramel malt notes. Medium-light body with soft carbonation. Taste is more of the same fruitiness with a hint of caramel present as well. Clean and smooth finish. Seems like the 2015 version is now 4.5% and is also a Session Wheat IPA. On tap at Bungalow. It pours a cloudy honey gold that almost has a glow about it. The nose is pithy tropical fruits. Medium bodied with a silky full mouthfeel which is nice. Crisp flavor of fruits with a bit of pine in the finish. The hopping & texture makes me think of an organic ginger ale a bit. It could just be the hot day of biking in the sun by I predict I’ll finish this glass in less than 5 minutes. Nice & refreshing.

Tap at Yokohama Beer Fest. Rich nose of rice, esters, fruit. Sake in the flavor, peaches, orange. rich and a bit sweet but finished crisp. nice.

Tap at Yokohama Beer Fest. Reddish brown color. Nice, rich caramel malt nose. Grainy, bready, rich malt / rice. Good earthy hops bitterness goes along a nicely complex malt backbone. Can’t guess it’s the ancient black rice, but it works well.

On tape at Keyaki Spring 2015. Amber color with a small off-white head. Very grainy aroma with some piney hops that come out. Taste is very malt and grain forward. On tap at CBM Koenji. Hazy golden honey color with a small off white head. Great lacing throughout. Classic saison nose with yeast, barnyard funk and a bit of citrus. Medium carbonation with a slick mouthfeel. Bitter and slightly peppery on the palate but as it warms a little sweetness comes out. The citrus becomes more intense as it warms. Medium amber color. Big smokey nose, with only faint hops. The mouth is fairly smokey wih moderately aggressive bitterness. Big lingering bitterness with smoke lingering. Not bad but certainly not overly interesting. Ok.
