12oz @ Ryan's (thx for the beer, man!) shared with Alex.
Malty with some hoppy bitterness. Taste is along the same lines. Finishes with hoppy bitterness. An American style BW. It's ok, but not more than that.

On tap at Beer Rize, New Year's Eve. Our 3rd year here for NYE dinner and drinks. Pours clear dark amber with a medium sized beige head, good lacing. Caramel malts, toast, bitters. Good
I'm too tired to check it, but I'm pretty sure I just got the whole world in my house

22/10/2024. Draft at Craft Beer Market. Toranomon, Tokyo. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, prunes, ash, touch smoky. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, smooth, average to soft carbonation. Decent porter.

medium dark golden amber color. Very heady nose. Minty and soapy at the same time. Not sure of the hop they are using but smells great. Very very full bodied, malt forward with modest amount of hops but this is truly an imperial amber. Bitterness just envelops your palate. Very warming. It initially seems like this should be an easy drinker but later it’s obviously not the case. Struggled with half a pint. Just too big and when it’s mid August in japan this is like the last thing I want to drink. Good beer nonetheless.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy orange with a medium beige head. Aroma reveals notes of toffee, stone fruits, and brown sugar in reasonable cohesion. Flavour is sweet, estery and fruity -- a bit too sweet and estery for me. There's lots of bubblegum-y notes, sweet stone fruits, and toffee on the finish. Not bad, but this doesn't strike the notes or balance for me.
