On tap in Tokyo. Pours a clear golden hue with a medium white head. A light grainy nose. Not a great flavor, husky sweet malts, akin to glue, some toast. Light citrus.

On tap at Popeye, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out harsh wood, perfumey bourbon, and harsh roast. Flavour is harsh and perfumey, with harsh roast, perfumey bourbon, and some wood. The barrels seems very harsh here, and/or the base beer seems rather rough. Tough one to drink. Needs some work.

On tap at Popeye, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and very subdued earthiness. Flavour is more nicely hopped, with bready malt, dry toffee and some earthy resinous hops. Nicely constructed and balanced. Fine for the style.

Bottle. Nose is apple, berries, ume, salt. There is a light sweet fruitiness behind dry, dusty, biscuity malt. Hazy salmon pink with lace. Very tart ume flavor, dry cider, warm helles-like malt, strawberry. Tart, juicy finish. Quite tasty and sophisticated, with a mild hop bitterness.

- slightly hazy medium golden color. Nice light tart nose with Tang (artificial orange drink) Dominating. Low carbonation medium bitterness, medium tartness but nice citrusy notes. Not mind blowing but decent beer

Light sweetness, bready malt. Bit of hops. Decent.
Not much going on here. Hint of honey and the rest is golden ale style boringness.

Bit sweet, malty. Not a great deal of hoppiness. Further down it changes. Fruity, almost ipa like but without the bitterness. Decent.

Tap at Takumiya. Bright, clear, golden with a low head. Rich malt nose, citrus hops, some herbs. Bready malt flavor, lemon, a bit of booze, very fruity, peppery finish. Slightly new world. Well done.

Tap at Craft House. Thin black color. Strawberry, chocolate malts, spicy Belgian yeast. Medium body. Works well enough.
