Keg at pub Edo. Amber orange cloudy colour small beige head. Aroma Belgian yeast, herbal bit of fruit, berries, some orange. Taste fruity orange bit of bitterness. Quite malty too. Bit of saison taste but bit more full on. Not bad. Best so far.

Keg at pub Edo. Cloudy orange colour with little head. Aroma booze and boozy fruits. Tripel like sweetness. Taste, lots of booze, almost spirit like. Bit of indistinct fruit, bit orangey by not quite. Maybe something tropical. Bitterness at end. Quite full on. Nice, but probably should have had the imperial stout instead. Rerate: 4/11/13 body is lacking I think. It's alright, raisins, fruity, bread, but definitely not quite there.

Keg at pub Edo. Dark red brown colour, small beige gold head. Aroma smoky and a bit spicy, some fruit. Classic porter smell. Taste, bit dark chocolate malt, some spice, little prickle. Bit of vanilla. Very nice. Rerate May 2013 at Gar Eden. Maybe more cafe au lait this time. Smooth. Aroma is bitter coffee. Nice creaminess again. One extra taste point but not much else changed.

Tap at Edo. Amber coloured, little golden head. Aroma is spicy, lots of bready malt, little bit of hoppy bitterness. Taste is nice, bit fruity, cherry maybe, lots of malt again, touch of spice and bit of booze. Nice spiky bitter finish. Apparently a brother of swan lake amber. Should probably revisit that one.

Tap at Kura Kura. Dark brown, small golden head. Aroma is roasty, coffee, deep and dark, fruity. Taste is nice, dark, roasty, bitterness at finish, bit of coffee. Quite thick. OK, but maybe a bit predictable.

Tap at Popeye. Amber colour, cloudy and with not much head. Aroma is hoppy, but cat pee, bit pine. Taste is nice and bitter, and with quite a lot of grapefruit and a touch of orange. Nice texture, and pleasantly fizzy in the mouth. Bitter finish which soon fades. Nice. Rerate: 11/10/13 Amber coloured small head. Aroma is quite malty, bit of cat pee hops, touch of citrus. Taste is similar. It's what you would expect. Hoppy bitterness. Malty body. Initial citrus. Tastes a bit like sweets. Alright but not exciting.

Tap at Keyaki, Spring 2019. Tart, fruity, grapefruit, passion fruits, guava. Orange, cloudy, almost flat. Very tart and tangy flavor, fruity. Not lactic. Nice fruit and crisp and refreshing.

Draft at Ant ‘n Bee, Tokyo. Clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, cardboard and fruity hops. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Tap at Ant n Bee, Tokyo. Poured a clear medium amber with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, mineral, earthy, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, grainy toffee malt, light fudge, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Draft at Swan Lake, Tokyo. Murky brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of butterscotch, oak, toffee and vanilla. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
