Draught @ Craft Culture, Queens (May 2024). Clear reddish brown with a small foamy beige head, caramel malt aroma, high carbonation, bitter dark roasted malt taste, faint caramel flavor, thin body, long medium bitter finish. A bit too thin and watery.

Canned (from Alko Web). Orange colour with small white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, nectary and some candyish notes. Flavour is grassy, floral, herbal and some mild earthy and caramelly tones.

16 oz draft. Shows a clear golden color. Flavor has malt with a little bit of biscuit and yeast. Very mild sweetness with a light body. Reminds me of my grandpappy’s Genesee.

Tap @ Woodbury Premium Outlets. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich hops, citrus, fruits, flowers and malt. Nice bitter finish.

Bottled. More or less pitch black colour with a mediumsized reddish brown head. Aroma is silky smooth coffee, chocolate, roast, alcohol, ripe fruits and some mild toffee and tobacco. Flavour is liquorice, very dark chocolate (85+ %), some coffee, mild roast, ashes, liquorice and alcohol. Alcohol quite evident in the flavour, but gives a nice warmth to the beer. A bit on the too-sweet-for-me side of things, but still very much top notch feel to this.

Pours a very dark brown from a can. Nicely roasty, coffee aroma. A little more coffee in the mouth, maybe a little too much so? Good beer.
