14th September 2020, Shrewsbury Beer Share gathering with Syrian Supper in Chez Sophie, five in attendance. 355ml can (not 330ml Mat), brought by me, via Beer52. Mini-haze to the light golden body, not the usual look of a traditional Weissbier, body was watery and weak too. Nose held a little yeastiness and some clove like esters, taste mild yeasty and cloves again; not as exciting as I'd hoped for.

Can from Beer 52. Pours a dark, almost purplish brown with a frothy transient beige head. Has a powerful aroma of coffee, toffee and malts. In the mouth there is an initial fruitiness which is soon swamped by chocolate and malts, making the overall effect sweet. Finish is fruity with some traces of coffee. A bit strange but very nice.

330ml can @ Syrian Supper tasting, Chez Sophie Sep 20. Thanks Jeremy for this. Pours a misty pale yellow, small white head. Light citrus and hefe yeast on the nose. Overall character seems very light, thin, coming across like a low-strength hefe, breezy straw, light yeast sweetness. Ok quencher, but fails to make a lasting mark.

355ml can: 4.5% ABV, came to me via Beer52. Drank at home on 13th Sep 2020. Guess it's colour! Yip it's brown, the head a beige affair. Malty front with traces of chocolate and caramel in the nose and taste. Highly carbonated and almost 'fizzy' in the mouth. Mild coffee flavours in the aftertaste.

355ml can, via Beer52; 4.5% ABV. Drank at home on 9th Sep 2020. Wispy white head, hazy pale yellow body. Light grapefruit front to the nose and taste, other citrus esters and flavours, but all mild and 'watery' in nature; not great!
