[500ml bottle (from Millets Farm Shop, nr Abingdon) that Dad shared with me - cheers!] Light amber with a large off-white head and a slight fizz. Heavily sedimented. Lemon, malt and hay with a decent bitterness. A little creaminess in the finish. Decent enough bitter.

Cask, handpump at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon, pub that is run by Peter Fowler (ex Pitsop Brewery) 14.01.11 Surprised that I hadnโt rated this however this seems to be the case. I think this was more amber than golden, and with a nice slim white head, in fact it looked superb. Taste was jolly decent, nice fruity bite and decent stabbing bitterness, lacking a bit in the hoppiness department otherwise a very decent session beer. A6 A5 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5

Cask at The Carpenters Arms. Pours gold with a mild, white head. Malty nose with faint, earthy hops. Some caramel sweetness and bread in the flavor with light, earthy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Malty finish with some short bitters. Not bad.

(Cask at Market Porter, Southwark, London, 7 Aug 2010) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with nuts, raisins and dusty hops. Malty, nutty taste with notes of dark fruit, nuts, brown sugar and dusty hops in the finish. Rather light body, fairly sweet. Decent but not very exciting.
