ABV: 11.0%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, roasted, wood, vanilla, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, wood, chocolate, bread, vanilla - barrel. Body is medium to medium full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20190927]

Absolutely delicious. Flavor is delicious too: malt, dark malts, chocolate dark chocolate, moderately bitter. Lovely. Full body, average carboantion that realy suits the beer. Lovely. Winner of the festival for me I think.

Amber with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of apricot jam and caramel. Taste is bittersweet with the bitterness taking the slight upper hand, particularly at the finish. Medium-bodied, dry, balanced carbonation. Decent.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Toffee, soft roast, vanilla and bourbon in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, rounded, but still a bit boozy. Lots of caramel and vanilla. Has thinned a bit because of the barrel aging. Hint of licorice in the finish. Nice.

Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival 2019, day 1. Brown color, no head. Aroma is malts, raisins. Rum notes lightly. Flavor is malts, caramelised sugars, rum, brown candy sugar. Full body, medium carbonation. Very nice.
