Canned, 440 ml shared with Max, Miro B and Bazz. Hazy orange with white head. Fruity, but tropical, apricot, quite strong bitter finish. Smooth. Medium bodied.

Panda at home thanks to Colin. A oily mid nutty brown coloured pour with a loose mid tan head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty, toffee, butter cream, hazelnut, butterscotch, light spice. Flavour is composed of chewy toffee, riasin loaf, vanilla, light oak, creme brulle. Palate is semi sweet, oily, creamy, lowish carbonation.

Panda at home thanks to Colin. A hazed burnt toffee coloured pour with a halo of off white head. Aroma is sweet, scotch, toffee, jammy fruits, sticky toffee apple, chewy toffee. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, light tang, apple, pinch of salt, . Palate is semi sweet, sticky, moderate carbonation. Meh not favourite style.

Can from Bottles & Books. Murky brown body with a thin beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine, mashed cucumber and toffee. Flavour of liquorice and cranberry. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A decent Black IPA but, for me, it lacks the depth/concentration of flavour of the very best BIPAs.

Sample thanks to Cloin: Poured a deep brown with reddish edges, head is beige. Aroma is sweet toffee, caramel, roasted malts. Taste is malty, chocolate, toffee, caramel, boozy.

Can. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Gloopy pour sits murked up, deep orange gold. Thin and lasting, leggy, white head. Nose has loads of soggy stone fruit. Lemon curd. Some sappy pine. Taste is super sweet and fruity. Nicely estery bitterness. Smooth and slick on the palate. Fine carbonation. Drinks well easy at the ABV. Touch of welcome sharp bitterness on the finish.

Can. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Clear dark brown. Nicely creamy, messy, tan head. Nose has sweet smoke. Bonfire toffee. Dried fruit, particularly plums. Hint of coffee and bitter grain. Taste is similarly sweet, with a soft vinous bitterness. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Fine carbonation. Finishes up vinous and smoky sweet. Lovely beer.

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy ruby/brown body with a beige head that fades. Low carbonation. No lacing. Aroma of toffee and burnt sugar. Flavour of fig and honey. Medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. A tasty beer and a good example of the style. I would like to see Pentrich do more of these malt-forward beers. A Scotch Ale series maybe?
