Handpull cask at the Quakerhouse, Darlington. Very dark brown, a little translucent, with a tiny uneven khaki/tan head. Malty aroma, some chocolate. A little balsamic vinegar. Taste has a lot more sweet chocolate & a little cherry. Bittering hops coat the tongue for the finish. Something else - maybe tobacco leaf? - on the aftertaste. Light, almost watery body with soft carbonation. Not much to it, not bad but maybe a little disappointing.

Handpul cask at the Half Moon, Darlington. Dark, almost brownish, gold, clear with a small uneven film of off-white head. Light aroma of overripe tangerine, strong iced tea, brown bread. Taste bittersweet with notes of caramel and orange with an almost metallic bitterness. Heavy tannin at the finish. Tea and peaches in the aftertaste. Very soft carbonation on what is a weighty body for the ABV. Not bad but a little bit messy.
