31/5/2018. Cask at The Rockcliffe Arms, Whitley Bay. Pours hazy dark golden with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, hop, fruit, bread and light floral/herbal notes. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Fairly bitter finish. Traditional bitter, not bad.

500ml bottle from Caps Off, Bishop Auckland. Golden colour, foamy white head leaving lots of lacing and aroma of biscuity malt, grain, alittle hop. Taste is grainy, malt, bready, and slightly citric with earthy hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry metallic bitter finish. OK.

Dark brown amber colour, off-white foam head and malty aroma.Taste is malt, toasty, alittle chocolate and coffee, with dark fruits, sourish and earthy bitterness. Thin mouthfeel, light bodied, soft carbonation, dry toasty bitter finish. Quite OK.

Cask at Northallerton Beer Festival 2016. Black colour, tan foam head and nose of dark malt, chocolate, coffee, some fruity hop. Taste is roast malt, smokey, dark chocolate, coffee, fruity and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
