Description
Yard of Ale has been brewing on-site since 2008. In that time we’ve provided beer to an increasing number of Pubs, Clubs, Beer Festivals and Specialist Suppliers.
Initially set up as a cask ale supplier, Yard of Ale can now supply its Award-Winning ales in various formats - from traditional 9g cask to one-way carbonated kegs to Mini-Kegs, Bag-in-Box and Bottles.

Keg at Caps Off Bar, Bishop Auckland Food Festival. Hazy golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and pale malty citrus hop aroma. Taste is malt, biscuit, wih citrusy hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Cask at Half Moon, Darlington. Black brown colour, beige foam head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of chocolate & coffee. Taste is roasted malty, dark chocolate, coffee grinds, with earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roasty earthy bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Cask at Quakerhouse, Darlington. Yellow gold colour, white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of citrus, stone fruit. Taste is pale malt, caramel, some biscuit with zesty citrus, stone fruit, and earthy hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Cask at Quakerhouse. Deep amber colour, white foam head leaving lacing and fruity malty aroma. Taste is malt, roasty, chocolate and coffee notes, with fruity berry and tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy roasty nutty bitter finish. Quite drinkable

ABV: 4.8%. Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, sweet malt, dark fruit, wood, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, wood, sweet malt, dark malt, fruity malt, dark fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190124]

Cask at Tanners Hall JDW Darlington. Dark brown amber colour, biege foamy head and spiced aroma. Taste is cinnamon spice, spruce, almost minty with malt, chocolate and dried fruits. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry earthy spiced finish. Quite OK
