Cask @ Pub, Leicester. Dark purplish brown, yet translucent. Scent of fresh grassy hop and crystal malt with a bit of astringency. Initial sweetness turns bitter with a shockingly bitter finish. Well crafted and moreish, but the finish was too mouth-puckering for me.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 3/2/2014. Dark brown with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of brown sugar, fatty bacon and caramel, with a hint of leafy hops. Flavour was sweetish, with wood smoke, berry fruits and damsons, before a toasty finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle courtesy of Geraint & Helen (next door neighbours) big thanks! consumed at home 30th December 2013 Pours dark reddy brown in colour. Tasty strong bitter with a good chocolate/bitter cocoa bite throughout. A little crunchy biscuit, maybe a few currants as well so perhaps a little garabaldi biscuit. Quite full flavoured, malt driven, it is pretty good. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2013. Nice refreshing hoppiness with some nice tropical fruit elements and a pleasing bitterness.
