Description
Craig studied Malting, Brewing and Distilling science in Edinburgh, worked in several micro breweries in the UK and also for an independent malt whisky bottler. A bona fide flavour junky, he was naturally attracted to La Belle France where he worked for a few years in Burgundian wineries before settling with his French wife and family in the countryside north of Paris where he started his activities in 2010.

To get the business up and running he used the ultra-scientific, quality-driven de Proef brewery in Belgium and still uses, for the moment, this brewery for the production of the first three creations: Agent Provocateur, Cuvée d'Oscar and Psychedelia. in June 2015 a brewery installation was completed in the French farm-house where he lives.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Gent, Belgie, 12th November 2011, consumed at home 14th November 2011. Pours murky brown with a light filmy head. The aroma is certainly tropical and hoppy with a little wheat and floral & perfume thing going on as well along with some lavender. Soft in the mouth, the wheat and hops provide an interesting combination, a thoroughly decent beer. A8 A3 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Small, off white head, hazy dark amber beer. USA or NZL hops, flowery, rosewater aroma. More rosewater in the mouth, with a -slightly dullish- exotic fruit flavour. Medium bodied, very slick to oily. Not really great - just a good beer. I often don’t like combination of wheat with other stylefeatures, in this case, it worked rather well. Grand merci à Jean!

2012-10-30, draught at Le Super Coin, Paris, 7-5-7-4-15=38
Cloudy light amber color; medium sized compact head. Nice aroma, fruity but delicate, light aroma of yellow jam, some animal, musk character too. The mouthfeel is light and drier than expected; delicate toffee flavor with a well balanced fruity hopping, and just dome more dry resins in the final.
Elegant beer.

2012-09-06, draught at La Fine Mousse, Paris, 7-4-7-5-15=38
Hazy amber color, with generous creamy head. Interesting to taste it side-to-side with the Psychedelia, this one evidently reveals a more complex body structure, more malt, some residual sweetness, still a good hopping level, fruity hops, but less hop character (like the pungent and sweaty mix of the Psychedelia).
Very good beer.

2011-09-06, draught at La Capsule, Lille, 7-5-7-4-15=38
Hazy amber color, bright, with medium sized compact head. Toffee aroma, with mild, citrusy hops. Good malt and toffee flavor, with moderate residual sweetness, delicate; indeed there is some similarity with the Mikkeller Single Hop ales brewed at the same facility; pleasant hopping, well balanced, elegant, never aggressive, with light resins and fruitiness.
Very nice, also for it’s rare harmony.

Bottle @ Arch’en Bières 7th edition 2011. Thanks Craig.

06/05 0.33 l bottle courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It poured hazy orange body with medium sized head. Very pleasant orange hop aroma, a bit of yeast. Slightly bitter flavor, smoothed with yeast and milk bread malt. May have a touch of coriander. Not heavy in body, rather thinner, with longer citrus and bread finish. A fine beer it is.

First missed this at the Abbaye des Saveurs in Lille, because I couldn’t carry anymore really, but thankfully found it later at Cave a Bulles in Paris. Shared with the usual suspects. POured a murky peach colour with a slightly off white head that went away slowly. Sweet aromatic hoppy nose, lime, some yeastiness, ok enough. Light soft agrumey taste, not much bitterness. Smooth, a bit light and overall nice!

Bottle at Het Oude Schooltje. It pours golden yellow, with a thick white head and moderate carbonation. The nose is American cream soda, hay, bread, grass, grapefruit, lime, orange and lemon. The taste is full of tropical fruit: mango, pineapple, orange, lemon and lime, as well as pine, grass and hay, with a satisfyingly bitter finish. A fresh and crisp hoppy belgian ale.
