Description
Craig studied Malting, Brewing and Distilling science in Edinburgh, worked in several micro breweries in the UK and also for an independent malt whisky bottler. A bona fide flavour junky, he was naturally attracted to La Belle France where he worked for a few years in Burgundian wineries before settling with his French wife and family in the countryside north of Paris where he started his activities in 2010.

To get the business up and running he used the ultra-scientific, quality-driven de Proef brewery in Belgium and still uses, for the moment, this brewery for the production of the first three creations: Agent Provocateur, Cuvée d'Oscar and Psychedelia. in June 2015 a brewery installation was completed in the French farm-house where he lives.

No pop when I opened the bottle and a small thick fizzy tan head that quickly settled out. Aroma’s caramel malt and a hint of tart. Flavors similar to nose, on the flat side. Has a slight medicinal finish.

(Bottle, Platåkåtan, Åre, Sweden, 22 March 2017) Golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with crystal malt, citrus, grapefruit and a touch of resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, resin, dried apricots, marmalade and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh and tasty, with a generous hop character. Nice one.

Tap at Maxs. Unfiltered thick brown burgundy body. Creamy beige head. Creamy, unique malt tones. Malty, but not outright sweet like most Brown Ales. The wheat adds some thickness. A touch dry, chalky, but overall an enjoyable brew. Some fruity ale notes come out the more it warms up. Drinkable, clean body.

Bottle thanks to Joe. Appearance - hazy amber with some head. Nose - dried orange and light funk. Taste - tangy dried orange and light white pepper. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - good beer. Quite like a saison.
