Description
Craig studied Malting, Brewing and Distilling science in Edinburgh, worked in several micro breweries in the UK and also for an independent malt whisky bottler. A bona fide flavour junky, he was naturally attracted to La Belle France where he worked for a few years in Burgundian wineries before settling with his French wife and family in the countryside north of Paris where he started his activities in 2010.

To get the business up and running he used the ultra-scientific, quality-driven de Proef brewery in Belgium and still uses, for the moment, this brewery for the production of the first three creations: Agent Provocateur, Cuvée d'Oscar and Psychedelia. in June 2015 a brewery installation was completed in the French farm-house where he lives.

Bouteille 33 cl. Nez sur les fruits jaunes, exotique. Nez ananas, fleur. Saveurs plutôt douces, bien houblonnée, une belle amertume, bière équilibrée, un peu trop légère pour moi, rien d'exceptionnel.

Bottle at home. Pours black with some short lived head. Aroma is dark malts, coffee, chocolate. Somewhat fruity and fresh. Medium body - surprisingly light for the style. Flavour is dominated by the Ethiopian coffee which is showcased beautifully as the beer is malty sweet but generally light and drinkable, thereby really giving the coffee the space to shine. Fruity somewhat acidic roasty coffee flavours. Quite bitter. Some spices and herbal notes. Finishes bittersweet with a long lingering espresso flavour. Beautifully done.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. That took a bit of tracking down but they do put the lot number and year on the back of the label. Hazy amber colour lasting thick cream head. Hoppy no doubt. Good piney hoppy resin IPA. Grapefruit. Love the hops. Easy drinking. Light in malts but enough to carry the hops. Which are really good. Good hops. Lemon lime and grapefruit. Lovely I thought.
