Ziet eruit als citroensap met prik, een witte kraag met grote bellen die snel weg is. Geur van citrus (schil), dank hop. Lekker juicy in de mond. Smaak is licht bitter en wat juicy zurig. Lichte body, maar niet te dun. Licht bittere finish en een fijne boer.

0.33 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before June 2026. Very hazy, orangeish golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, rather fruity aroma of guava, mango, passion fruit and some rhubarb. Slightly sweetish, gently sour, rather fruity taste of guava, passion fruit, mango and rhubarb, followed by a short, moderately tart finish. Thin to medium body, slightly astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.

Can picked up from Drankgigant.nl, Vlissingen Netherlands and consumed at home Sunday 10th August and again today Tuesday 12th August 2025 as I'd picked up two of these. Had this sat on the balcony listening to ByteFM after a nice pasta bake for tea. Pours warm gold, amber with large sticky white head that soon dropped. Taste is crisp, light resinous and middling bitterness, fruity and certainly a lot more West Coast IPA than a lot that call themselves this and aspire to be. However I still thought that despite doing the basics quite well, it could have been better and this for me is a missed opportunity from Walhalla. Quite good, could do better.

0.44 l can from 'Mr. Hop', best before April 2026. Hazy, pale straw yellow with a medium large, slightly fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity-floral, a little dank aroma of passion fruit, pineapple and gooseberry. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, rather fruity-floral and a bit dank taste of passion fruit, pineapple, grains, some nettles and light gooseberry, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently dry finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent aroma but a bit anaemic, way too thin for my liking.

Sweetish, very fruity, minimally dank aroma of passion fruit, pineapple and some papaya. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, rather fruity and a bit dank taste of passion fruit, pineapple, grapefruit, pomelo and light papaya, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid one.

Süffiger, süßlich bitter-hopfiger Antrunk. Moderate Herbe, grasig. Mild fruchtig nach Ananas, helles Malz, harzig. Deutlich hopfig bleibend, würzig, langer Abgang. 9/10/11/11/10/11

Een zeer donkere kleur, maar niet helemaal zwart, en een beige kraag met een klein laagje retentie. Geurt naar geroosterde mout, drop, laurier. In de mond is het geroosterd, drop, iets bitter en zoet, zoethout. Smaak is zoetig en wat bitterig. Medium body. Zachte koolzuurprikkeling. Zoetigheid blijft nog even hangen en wordt dan geroosterd en uiteindelijk wat bitter. Die bitterheid had van mij nog wel wat uitgesprokener mogen zijn, maar uiteindelijk is dit smakelijk genoeg.

33cl Blik. Mistig goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Licht zuur, citroen, wat passievrucht, licht hoppig, fris, zure finish. Lichte body. Prima, doet het goed bij deze temperaturen.

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Piney hop with malt, grapefruit, pine resin, orange, hint of caramalt. Medium bitter, could be a bit more firm. Medium body. A load of classic hops in this.
