Lots of red fruit, really opens up the flavor.

Ciemnobrunatne praktycznie czarne nieprzezroczyste piwo z niewielką pianą która szybko opada. Aromat ciężkiego oleju, nuty palonego słodu. W smaku dość wytrawne, nuty dębiny kawa plus wytrawne gorzka czekolada

Taster showing pitch black with sparse white foam.
The nose shows intense notes of espresso and mocha.
The palate is well carbonated and full bodied. Moderately sweet with intense notes of burnt toast and espresso. Moderate espresso bitterness on the finish.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 15 Aug 2025) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with notes of sweet espresso, cacao, liquorice, bourbon and oak wood. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with sweet espresso, cacao, soy sauce, liquorice, bourbon, oak wood, a touch of tar and a generous coffee bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, sweet. Rich, tasty and mellow. Age has probably softened off the edges a bit. Excellent balance. Great beer!

Bottle poured into a snifter. Black with a fizzy brown head. Around is bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, dark berries. Initial taste is chocolate, bourbon, mulberries. Fades to an odd berry/chocolate balance. Full body and a little sting to the carbonation. Not their best version of this. Really odd berry aftertaste.

Bottle. Unbelievable that this beer was only available over here in The Netherlands via parallel market for about 100 Euro or so until some weeks ago. Now available in regular beer shops for just above 20 Euro. Color: Black, thin brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, spicy rye, sweetish Bourbon. Taste: Very nice mix of roasted malt, spicy rye, vanilla, Bourbon, some oak wood, subtle boozy notes, hints of dark dried fruits. Long lasting finish. Full body, below average carbonation. Over medium sweet but not too sweet, over moderate bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle. From Væskebalancen, Aarhus. Pours Black with a small beige head. Roast, basebeer, barrel, coffee and that tea-ish. It doesnt add an intriguing vibe but the beer is so fucking good on its own.
