Dark copper brown, thin white head, little lacing
Aroma - Fusty caramel malts, old apple skin, slightly perfumy, odd aroma
Taste of citrus hop, some roasted malts, touch of nuts, bit of grass, some apple core, caramel malt, touch floral, rather haphazard
Palate - Medium carb, light to medium body. Palate soft bitter sweet. Finish is fairly bitter, some twigs in there, touch of citrus hop and some roast in the finish, slight odd bitter flavour on the tail
Overall - The aroma was rather strange to be honest, came across as a rather uneven mish-mash. It’s drinkable yes, but wasn’t great - needs a fair amount of tweaking

Orange, hazy, frothy white head, some lacing.
Aroma soft spicy yeast, dab of zest, light fruity malt.
Taste of lemon zesty citrus hops, dab of orange, bit peppery, soft spicy yeast, slight funk, light pale malt background.
Palate - medium carb and body. Finish - fairly long linger of fairly bitter peppery zest.
Overall - More a moderately flavoured IPA with saisony characteristics rather than a actual saison. It was decent enough and pleasant - not amazing but nice to try a new take on the style

From keg at the BrewDog bar in Manchester. Hazy golden body, minimal head, good lacing down the glass. Lemony hops to the nose, succulent impression. Fresh citrus taste joined by tart apple juice alongside yeasty fruitiness that lingers for quite a while. Soft carbonated. Medium to full bodied. Superfresh mouthfeel (24.01.2013).

Aroma - Same resinous piney hop and a dab of caramel in background
Taste - Lot more bitter zesty hops...still getting that bit of buttery light caramel in background.....still tastes very much it’s alcohol content to me though
Palate - Very bitter hopping...Finish same as main flavour...lingering astringent bitter tail
Overall - Better than the keg....but rather rough around the edges for me - too astringent....actually 3.3 > 3.2

Straw colour, hazy, thin white head. Aroma - resinous piney hops, touch of grass, pretty hoppy. Taste of piney hops, resinous hops, dab of grassy hop, background of pale sweet malts, slighty buttery, found it rather boozy
Palate - Medium carb and body, texture oily. Finish as main flavour, with some alcohol in the tail.
Overall - OK - not bad - but the alcohol was pretty noticeable...there are better beers of this style out there....maybe the bottle is better, sometimes keg isn’t as good....

Euston Tap. Keg. Hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is airy - soft and a little dry. Nice fine carbonation. Sweet floral apple, mild spice and dried fruits. Tangy edging toward sour. A little pear. Creamy malt underneath. Finishes semi dry. Refreshingly different but it started to get a little chewy half way down the glass. Had to swap to something else and then come back to this. Hides the abv well.

Keg at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear gold, effervescent, with a very tight, white cream cap. Lots od doughy malts on the nose, ripe banana, Belgian yeast. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, some sweat, sweet doughy malts, mild Belgiany funk, white sugar. Full bodied with high, massaging and mouth-filling carbonation. Warm finish with some dry grassy bitterness, white bread, doughy bisuits, hay, yeast, faint dried citrus. It’s hefty stuff, perhaps a bit much for a saison. Still, an interesting beer. (3.7)

Bottle shared at CBC Islington during the Ryan Tasting - many thanks to Ed for this one. Pours lightly hazy and yellowy with a huge white head. Moderate yeasty pale malts, medium sweetness, some tang. Light to medium bodied with lively carbonation. Clean finish with subtle citrus elements. Nice. (3.7)

Keg at Euston Tap. It pours hazy straw yellow with a thick white head. The nose is earth, hay, spice, tart lemon, farmyard, apple, pear, sweet banana and bubblegum. The taste is apple, light tartness, white grape, earth, straw, baryard, spice, banana, assertive bitterness, some alcohol warmth and hay with a dry finish. Medium body and spritzy carbonation. Lots going on for sure! Very interesting, but not quite sure the balance is there. Still I think I like it!

330 ml bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours very cloudy pale golden with a creamy and frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet, spicy, fruity and phenolic with crackers, white grapes, white bread, plums, black pepper, dry wood, plums and caraway. Taste is bitter, spicy and phenolic with crackers, cloves, allspice, black pepper, wood, hay, dry soil, caraway and plums. Mouthfeel is spicy astringent, tiny dry and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter and spicy with crackers, caraway, black pepper, dark grapes, orange peal and wood. Bit too astringent.
