Keg at Euston Tap. It pours cloudy deep purple/brown with a thin beige rim. The nose is pink wafer, strawberry, light tartness, jam, tangy citrus and Dandelion & Burdock. The taste is wood, leather, dark berry, liquorice, toffee, funkiness, roasty/instant coffee, earth and Dandelion & Burdock with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting flavour and good depth of flavour. Great stuff.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Slightly hazy gold in colour, with a decent white head. Aroma of apricot, lemon, sherbet and sour dough, with some juicy fruit gum in the background. Flavour of tart and yeasty stone fruits, oranges, peppery hops and green herbs, finishing off dry and mouth puckering. Very good.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Deep reddish amber, with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and barley sugar, with some yeasty red fruits. Full mouth feel, with flavours of chocolate orange, strawberry and slightly, bready malts, leading to a dryish finish. Very good.

Can from Deeside Drinks Emporium. Hazy amber body with a huge white head. Lively carbonation. Aroma of lemon sherbet, white wine and earth. Flavour of lemon, grass and shortbread and a bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture. Very fizzy. Lives up to its name - the fresh hop flavours are light and refreshing.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Gold with the faintest of hazes and a decent white head. Arome of pineapple, stone fruits, some pine and a touch of nettle. Flavour had a touch of cereal malts, yeasty tropical fruits and some herbs, leading to a dryish finish with some sourdough in the background. Unusual and excellent [3.8]. Re-rate on 29/1/2012. Another bottle from Corks but, sadly, on this occasions the fruits and herbal edge had diminished to be replaced by some rather harsh wood and more pronounced yeastiness. Nothing like as good [3.0]
