Description
We opened our doors in Brixton in mid 2013 with the aim of teaching Londoners how to make beer. We have expanded operations at this site to offer up to 30 draught lines featuring our commercially available beers, exclusive nano brews and guest beers plus a large stock of cans and bottles to take home. We remain one of the very few venues in London to stock home brewers with hops, malt and yeast.

The nose is sweet, juicy, oily, nectarine, peach, kumquat, tangerine, orange muffin, pissy, orange chewits and brioche. The taste is punchy bitter, orange rind, mango, passion fruit, grapefruit, alcohol boost, peppery, waxy edge and minerals with a dry, boosty finish. Medium body+ and average carbonation. Good stuff.

Keg at the Beer Hive - Love being. Pours murky, bright gold with a bubbly white head. Some vibrant and fleshy mango in the aroma. Light to medium sweet flavor with somewhat doughy, bready pale malts, citrus fruits, mango, tangerine. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderate sweetness on the finish, with some further mango undertones, pale bread, minerals. Nice idea but the execution isn’t entirely there.

Bottle that Jim got at London Beer Lab & shared- cheers! Amber with a lasting cream head. Smooth Belgian banana yeast and malt loaf are balanced by a peppery spiciness. Excellent saison, got better the more I drank.

Bottle at Masion du LKS. It pours hazy pale gold with a small white head. The nose is soft, light funk, straw, hay, lemon, wheaten bread and grain. The taste is smooth, grainy, mild soapy sourness, lemon rind, preserved lime, wheat and hay with a short dry finish. A bit wishy-washy. A basic sour.
