Thick, almost like a stout. Quite sugary/caramel-like and a bit burnt. Quite a nice beer but not really recognisable as a quad.

Can at home thnx to a friend, hazy yellow beer, small head. Aroma is sweet, hops, malt, rye, pine, tropical fruit, pineapple, yellow fruit. Taste is the same, sweet, malt, fruit, hops, bitter, nice one.

Appearance- black, opaque, with a tan/ dark brown fizzy head which fades quickly. Aroma- chocolate, coffee, tiramisu, brownie, fudge cake, earthy dark malt, cocoa powder. Caramel hints. Taste is chocolate, coffee, maple, caramel sauce, chocolate fudge brownie, sweet chocolate torte, biscuity malt. Very tasty and sweet, excellent. Very slight hint of booze but well-hidden. Slick and oily mouthfeel.

Can. Oily looking opaque black brown beer, small darkish tan head. Smooth, soft and slightly viscous palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft but super rich dark malts, soft luxuriant dark malt cream. Soft coffee underneath. Layers and layers of fruity bourbon cushioned in soft creamy luxuriant vanilla. The fruitiness gets slightly rummy. There is also a slight neopolitan vibe here, soft dark chocolate and a whisper of red berries. Soft finish brings a very mild alcohol spice. Wowsers. This is a big thick soft pillow of an imperial pastry. So much bourbon, it's rich and punchy but also soft. It's the big snarly dog that has been trained properly and is now a big soft adorable pup. Wonderful stuff.

(Draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 26 Feb 2026) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, honey, roasted nuts and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, nuts, dark honey, caramel, treacle, sweet liquorice and a mild cacao bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, thick and oily mouthfeel. Sweet. Rich, heavy, sweet and really tasty. Very nice.

(Draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 26 Feb 2026) Cloudy golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with citrus, orange, mandarin, mango and passionfruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, orange, mandarin, passionfruit, pineapple, mango, white bread and a gentle citric/herbal bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich, hoppy and juicy. Very nice.
