Cask - Herbal, peppery, grassy and banana. Cloudy gold with a frothy head. Grassy bitterness, fruity esters and some yeasty notes. Not sure I get the honey.

Bottle at the Watford tasting 26/07/14. Thanks to Ed. Bright orange coloured pour with a light white head. Aroma is light spices, cardamon, floral hop and green hop. Flavour is spicy green hop with lemon note with grainy cereal and biscuity malts. Assertive slightly rough green hop with some midget gem. Palate is drying medium sweet and grain husks. Decent beer.

Cask gravity at Watford rugby Club beer fest. Hazed orange with no head. Decent farmhouse saison yeast aroma, dirty wheat, sourdough bread. Flavour is composed of orange blossom, hay, earthy wheat, saison yeast. Grainy wheaty palate with a nice orange citrus zing in the finish. Solid enough.

Cask gravity at Watford rugby Club beer fest. Orange golden colour no head. Aroma is some biscuit malts and orange peel citrus. Flavour is composed of some smoked malt phenols, medicinal TCP, some hedgerow berries, light caramel. Medium bodied with lowish carbonation.

Cask in the shop at the Hope Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, Thursday 3rd June 2014 I was very kindly given a sample of this by Alex in the shop. Pours hazy gold, hazy with white head. The nose is mostly given over to the yeast but I guess done sweet honey presence may possibly be there along with a little hoppiness. In the mouth there is more of the same with the yeast providing the platform but the spiciness of which is checked a little by the honey sweetness. I really liked this, a touch warm maybe but still it tastes good. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask, handpump the Hope Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, Thursday 3rd June 2014 Pours a light hazy gold, tiny bit warm, wonderfully crisp bittersweet, zippy and. Described as a crisp, hoppy, lemon and lime sweet lager, I have to say I disagree with the description but it is pretty good. Really hoppy, some pithiness but it is sweet, tastes stronger than 4.5%. I have to knock this down a mark or two for being a little warm, if this were cooler it would be v.good, however partly due to it being slightly warm and partly for some reason I am tiring of it towards the end it, it maybe isn’t as great as I first thought, but still a fine beer nonetheless. Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, Friday 30th May 2014 Pours light amber with a sticky white head, looks great, good temperature it is in superb nick. I understand that this is a ’black pepper IPA’ there is certainly a hint of spiciness about it, not too sure about black pepper though. Really quite bitter, with some citrus, toffee and biscuit coming to the fore, but there is a decent maltiness to hold things together which is handy because it does seem just a little unbalanced. I like it but it could have been better. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4

Cask (gravity) @ EBF17 2014, 17th Egham Beer Festival, Egham United Services Club (EUSC), 111 Spring Rise, Egham, Surrey, England TW20 9PE. [ As Aylesbury The Right Stuff ].Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, fruity malt, light to moderate hoppy, flowers, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, floral, fruity, hoppy, caramel, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140417]

Cask at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks, Wednesday 21st May 2014 Reddy amber in colour with off-white head. Touch warm, but otherwise condition is good. Fruity and bitter, but seems a touch unbalanced, apparently a double chocolate mild, to be fair I would have guessed neither the ingredient or the style. Its ok. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.9

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence, 04/05/14. Clear golden amber with a moderate off white head that thins and retains. Nose is orange peel, light floral tones, vanilla notes, biscuit crumble. Taste comprises candied orange peel, light vanilla, hint of caramel, biscuit malt, light spice. Medium bodied, moderate to soft carbonation, light bitterness in the close. Decent enough ESB.
