Bottle. Color: Dark ruby, thin beige head. Aroma: Sweetish, chocolate, Whiskey. Taste: Malty, notes of chocolate, pretty subtle Ben Nevis Whiskey, subtle peated, quite some wood and tannins. Some molasses, bit sugary, some raisins, light hints of coffee and ripe dark fruit. Boozy, warming mouthfeel. Medium to over medium body, low carbonation. Medium sweet, moderate bitterness. Dry mouhfeel. I expected more Ben Nevis for 18 months barrel ageing, I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the first use of this barrel after the Ben Nevis period. Overall ok, but not what I was hoping for.

Murky brown colour, nice beige head. Notes of dried fruit (^plums, raisins) along with some sweet maltiness, smokiness. Whisky finish. Nice.

Bottle from beerware.nl. Dark brown, beige foam. Roasty, notes of coffee, cocoa. Medium sweet, a hint of vanilla and honey.

Pours a clear deep ruby reddish brown colour and a huge light beige head with long retention. Aroma's: sweet malts, caramel, a bit red fruit. Retronasal there's caramel, fudge, light herbal bitterness. Flavour is above moderate sweet with light bitterness. Warming alcohol, medium bodied, quite high carbonation. Finishes a bit ashy and moderate bitter. Not exciting but very decent quad.

Bottle shared at home, bought on a tick hunt in Gouda for Christ’s sake. Hazy pale straw with no head. Massive spices, ginger, cinnamon, cardemom and pepper, watery sour Dutchko sidra in the background. Some Suggestion of soft doughy applepie with cream. Moderate sweet, quite sour and bitter. Bottle at Beergarden. Bit hazy pale golden with not much head. Cinnamon, light chilies, dry green apple, cardamom, apple peel. More spices than cider... Light sweet and tart with cinnamon bitterness. Medium bodied with sparkly carbonation and medium dry finish. Sort of OK as a spicy gingerbeer or something, but why did they put lactose in there??

330ml bottle from trade courtesy of sjogro, cheers Sjoerd! Clear yellow colour, foamy white head and aroma of cinnamon, spiced, earthy. Taste is tart apple, cinnamon, spicy and peppery, with earthy notes. Light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry spicy tangy warming finish. Quite OK
