Handpull cask at the Parcel Yard, Leicester. Light to mid-gold, clear as a bell with a small and slightly foamy white head. Lots of lacing. Scent of lemon, grapefruit and gooseberry with a touch of soap. Tastes sweet with a distinct lemon curd flavour, some hoppy bitterness, more soap again. St Clements in the aftertaste. A gentle and well-hopped little golden.

Handpull cask at the Sorrel Fox, Mountsorrel. Reddish brown and clear with a small cream-coloured head and considerable lacing. Big toffee notes, rich tea biscuit, some red berry on the nose. Taste is sweet and malt-led with just enough hop balance in the finish to make it feel rounded. Full body, low carbonation. A simple stronger bitter done very well.

Handpull cask at the Parcel Yard, Leicester. Dark gold, clear with a foamy off-white head and lots of lacing. Pleasant aroma of grapefruit and gooseberry, with hay and light vinous notes. Sweet citrussy refreshing taste with some gentle bittering hop in the background. Light suggestions of tea. A bit of a vegetal astringency in the aftertaste, otherwise this is a notch above the average golden ale.
