Description
Baarle's beer brewed in the traditional way. The brewery was founded in 2007 by Monique and Ronald Mengerink. Behind their house in the Pastoor de Katerstraat they built a brewing installation with six 1000 liter lager tanks. Due to the growing success the brewing kettles moved to Gierlestraat in 2014. In January 2017, the brewery moved again to a new location in the Oordeelsestraat. With their third expansion in ten years Ronald and Monique are able to increase the capacity of the brewery to 50 hectoliters per brew and 100 hectoliters per day.

Bottle, thx to fonefan. A clear, golden beer with an off-white head. Slightly infected it seems, especially evident in the aroma, where also grains, sweetness and fruits are present. The flavor is quite sourish, especially in the finish, and there’s caramel and grains as well. Medium body, and a sourish, grainy finish. A pity it was gone bad, it gave the impression of being a good one when fresher. (080412)

Bottle Clear, amber body. Off-white head which disappears fastly. Interesting and a bit odd aroma which consists mainly of fruit: peach, mild citrus (orange, etc), grapes, hints of barnyard and a bit liquorice. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet finish. Some extra smoked bitterness shows up in the finish. The smokiness is pleasant as a side flavour. Nice.

Kind of new beer country for me :) Pinky red color, not much head. Aroma of candy sugar and wheat, a bit sour fruity with odd barnyardish aromas. Mouthfeel is quite thin and watery. Papery, strawberry fruity, wheaty flavor. Some grassy notes in the aftertaste. Very strange beer. Infected bottle?

330 ml bottle. Hazy, pale orange body with a medium white head. Aroma is mainly fruity with hits of spices. Flavor is malt and fruity. A plain, simple and well made golden ale. Sometimes just very pleasant to find a really good unpretentious ale.

Bottle. A hazy, golden beer with some white head on top. Quite weak, but pleasant, nose with malt, sugar, spices and hops. The flavor is nice and fruity and has a lightly spiced touch, with some alcohol and pale malt. Medium to full body. An easy to drink beer, but it surprises me a bit that there’s alcohol flavors in it. Not ruining the beer though. (080215)

Bottled. Golden colour, small head. Aroma is grass, hops, more grass and some mild notes of alcohol. Flavour is pretty much the same, I came to think of a pilsener while drinking this. Not very pleasant.
